i’ve been inspired to appreciate the events over the past year: the celebrations, the worries, the traveling, time spent with family and friends, career changes and advancements, cultural enrichment, the surprises, and the hard work. there were moments when i let my pride and personal insecurities doubt my path, but i’ve definitely become much more self-assured as success and happiness came more and more frequently and unexpectedly. and i definitely wouldn’t have accomplished so much without the support and encouragement from jamie, my friends and family. i’m shocked to see so much has happened, but i’m happy to see that life has been anything but stagnant. i also can’t believe how easy it has been being a wife — together, we are the ultimate power! over the next year, we’ll be focusing more on our life goals: focused career, buying a home and travel. i hope to spend more quality time with my family, and especially my extended family overseas (the last time i visited HK was 1992, far too long ago!) and since i’m always making lists anyway, it doesn’t hurt to jot down a few exciting goals for the new year!
